"Tsmoki-Minsk" lost in the away match "PARMA-PARIBET"

On March 31, the ‘dragons’ met with the Permians in the next match of the regular stage of the VTB United League. With Vyacheslav Shushakov's team, "Tsmoki-Minsk" converged on the site at the beginning of the championship and lost with a minimum score – 75:78. This time, Minsk residents needed to win not only with the calculation of a personal rematch, but also to demonstrate the maximum result that would allow Rostislav Vergun's wards to regain hope of getting into the playoffs. Alas, the outcome of the match was disappointing – 91:68 (26:18, 20:18, 26:11, 19:21).

Starting fives

"Tsmoki-Minsk": Aliaxei Trastsinetski, Darol Hernandez-Zinenko, Vadzim Stubeda, Andrei Stabrouski, Uladzislau Bliznyuk.

"PARMA-PARIBET": Alexander Razumov, Evgeny Voronov, Gleb Sheiko, Valery Likhodey, Alexander Platunov.

Game scenario

With a quick three-point throw in the first attack, the opponents opened the score on the scoreboard, but received a lightning response in the form of a medium-range throw from Andrei Stabrouski. The teams made confident and effective attacks, going almost level. Our guys were a little hampered by emotionality – perhaps because of a sense of maximum responsibility, the Dragons scored 5 team fouls in the fourth minute. But the wards of Rostislav Vergun were able to quickly get together – Daniil Barysevich leveled the score with a throw from behind the arc, and Yauheni Beliankou's accurate hit brought the Minsk residents ahead (14:16). Unfortunately, in the second half of the quarter, the plans of Minsk residents were hindered by 4 block shots from Artem Zabelin, which put the hosts of the site 6 points ahead (24:18).

The second quarter began for Minsk residents not optimistic “-10". Yauheni Beliankou and Uladzislau Bliznyuk, taking the initiative in their own hands, were able to reduce the gap by two “three point shot”. "Tsmoki-Minsk" tried to bet on the continuation of successful throws from behind the arc, but, alas, could not cope with the pressure of the opponent. Numerous misses led to another double-digit difference on the scoreboard by the end of the quarter - 46:36.

The start of the second half was formed by a long-range hit of the opponents and a score of 49:36. “Dragons” tried not to let go of "PARMA-PARIBET" for a long distance. Minsk residents quickly moved the ball in attack, but numerous losses and misses still led to “-21" on the scoreboard. The wards of Rostislav Vergun could not cope with the pace of the hosts. In the penultimate attack, Darol Hernandez-Zinenko failed to make a throw due to another blockshot, and the teams finished the quarter with a score of 72:47.

Interchange

A three-point shot at the beginning of the final quarter from the captain of “Tsmoki” and free throws from Yauheni Beliankou could not save the team from “-29” (82:53). The guys selflessly fought for the ball, but, alas, already in the expected outcome of the match they could not show an effective and efficient game. Adding a bit of “entertainment”, Daniil Kasko made a spectacular slamdunk towards the end of the match (85:59). However, the long-range hits of the owners of the site left them with an obvious lead. In the last seconds of the match, our team did not make shots in the final attack, and ended the match with a score of 91:68.

Prominent roles

Yauheni Beliankou demonstrated the highest utility coefficient among teammates (16), and brought the most points – 17. In the "PARMA-PARIBET" the most active was Valery Likhodey, who realized all shots – 3 from medium range, and 2 three-pointers.

The most productive

"Tsmoki-Minsk": Yauheni Beliankou - 17 – 1 REB +2 AST + 1 STL, Daniil Barysevich – 11 + 5 REB + 1 AST, Andrei Stabrouski – 9 + 1 REB + 2 AST + 1 STL.

"PARMA-PARIBET": Valery Likhodey – 17 + 5 REB + 4 AST +1 STL, Alexander Platunov – 11 + 1 REB + 2 AST + 2 STL, Makar Konovalov – 10 + 3 REB + 4 AST + 1 STL, Artem Zabelin – 9 + 7 REB + 1 AST + 4 BLOCK.

Rostislav Vergun, Head coach of Tsmoki-Minsk:

- It probably makes sense to comment on the game of only one team. Congratulations to the opponent, they tuned in very well today, there was an amazing atmosphere in the arena. The fans got what they deserved. We lost in almost all components of the game. We were not able to be physically ready for the martial arts that modern basketball implies. In each position we were a second slower, not clear enough, allowed the opponent to score 18 three-pointers. All questions are only for us. The game became too easy for the opponent, especially in the second half.

Next game

The next final home match of the ‘Tsmoki-Minsk’ team will be held on April 6 at the Minsk Arena. “Dragons” will play with “Nizhny Novgorod" – the beginning at 19:00 Belarusian time.
