Today, the first match in preparation for the 2022/23 season took place at the sports complex of the basketball club. Two teams of our club – “MINSK” and “MINSK“-reserve - met with the updated squads on the floor. The first game of the preseason ended with the victory of the men 's team with the score 99:65 (22:15, 26:9, 12:18, 39:23).
In the first quarter, the initiative of effective attacks remained with the Minsk men's team. Uladzislau Blizniuk, Daniil Barysevich and Zach Smith determined the leadership of their team on the court with a number of accurate hits. The reserve's scorer was newcomer Artem Sekushenko. At the end of the first quarter, the Minsk team retained the advantage (22:15).
In the second quarter, the foundation continued to fight with a double–digit advantage under the opponent's ring - MINSK achieved a 20-point advantage with confident throws. Daniil Barysevich scored a 100% hit on shots from behind the arc, which brought the team 9 points with accurate “threes”. Daniil Kasko scored 2 more points from the penalty line in the last second of the quarter. The teams went to the big break with a score of 48:24.
The confident advantage remained with the more experienced players of MINSK throughout the game. At the same time, MINSK and MINSK-reserve demonstrated well-coordinated work in the opening match for both teams. The game ended with a score of 99:65 in favor of MINSK.

Preparations for the season will continue for the MINSK team tomorrow. On September 1, at 14:00, a friendly match with Grodno-93 will take place on the basis of the club's sports complex.
