MINSK Basketball Club and 25-year-old Russian player Grigory Motovilov signed a cooperation agreement until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Grigory was born on February 7, 1998 in Moscow, Russia. The defender's height is 190 cm, weight – 86 kg.

The professional career of the basketball player began in 2014 with the Zenit youth team (St. Petersburg). Next, Grigory played for the Russian clubs Ural (2016/17 season), Zenit-Farm (2017/18), Primorye (2018/19), Lokomotiv-Kuban (2019/2021).

The defender started the 2021/22 season at Temp-SUMZ-UMMC, then moved to Izhevsk Super League-1 club Kupol-Rodniki and in March 2022 joined Krasnoyarsk Yenisey

Playing for the Krasnoyarsk club in the VTB United League, in 30 matches last season, the average statistics of the player was 5.7 points, 2.0 assists, 0.9 rebounds, spending a little more than 15 minutes on the floor per game.

Grigory Motovilov was among the 12 players of the Russian national team at the 2019 World Cup, where he played in 5 matches, averaging 4.6 points, 1 rebound and 1.2 assists.

In January 2020, Motovilov was included in the expanded Russian national team for the Eurobasket 2021 qualifiers.

Grigory's sports achievements include silver medals of the VTB United Youth League (2013/2014), the Cup of Russia (2015/2016), the International Student Basketball Cup (2019), as well as bronze medals of the Russian Championship (2015/16).
