We are preparing for the match with Enisey

After a bright and unpredictable match with Astana, this Monday, December 11, our team will have the second match of the home series against Enisey on the home court. Read more about the opponent from the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the preview.

Season 2023/24

Enisey demonstrated excellent results at the start of the season, and even closed the top three in the standings. The team delighted its fans with constant victories on the home court, losing in Krasnoyarsk only in the last match of CSKA (6 wins in 7 games).

In the away matches, the wards of Jovica Arcic demonstrated both ups and downs. Krasnoyarsk turned out to be stronger than Avtodor, MBA and Runa, but lost to CSKA, Zenit, UNICS and Uralmash. Currently, Jovica Arcic's team occupies the 5th place in the standings with 9 wins in 15 games.

American defender Xavier Raten-Mays continues to be the confident leader of the Russian team. He played in Australia and Turkey last season. Now, Xavier, as a rule, regularly scores more than 20 points per game, for which he was deservedly recognized as the best player in October. The defender also showed the third result in the history of the League and scored 42 points in the match against PARMA. Now the average defender's stats are 26.7 points (the best result among League players), 4.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals in almost 34 minutes on the court.

Jeremiah Martin (16.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.1 steals in 30.49 minutes) and Mikael Hopkins (11.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.2 blocks) also demonstrate the best average statistics in Enisey.

Last time, playing against Enisey, Minsk residents were in the lead in two quarters, but in the end they failed to maintain the pace necessary for victory. Since then, the MINSK squad has been strengthened by two centers. Obviously, after losing the match against CSKA, Enisey is intensively preparing for the match, so it is difficult to predict the outcome of the upcoming meeting.

MINSK forward Benjamin-Pavel Dodoo: “The appearance of Zecevic brought sharpness to our attack, Astana has already felt it, but, unfortunately, it was just a little bit not enough. The appearance of an experienced Zabelin will be very useful now, which should also add confidence. Enisey surprised everyone this year: the team is in 5th place in the standings. This match will not be easy, but we are playing at home, and with the support of the stands we will try not only to show a good game, but also to bring it to a positive result.”
