Today, at the Dynamo Moscow Sports Palace, for the first time in our club history, Rostislav Vergun's team played against Runa in a VTB United League match. Almost throughout the entire game, Minsk residents did not give the opponent the opportunity to go into a big gap, but the victory remained for Runa. Final score of the meeting – 71:53 (20:15, 16:14, 19:18, 16:6).

Game progress
The hosts met MINSK with a scoring run of 7 points, but our guys quickly got their bearings and made a comeback, taking the lead thanks to accurate throws by Daniil Kasko, Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson and Vadzim Stubeda (7:8). The wards of Erturul Erdogan, despite a large number of losses, managed to maintain an advantage in the score by the end of the first quarter – 20:15.
In the second quarter, the Vikings continued their active struggle. Unfortunately, despite the well-coordinated interaction in the attacks, a number of misses from the Minsk residents did not allow to reduce the gap in the score. Vadzim Stubeda turned out to be accurate three times from the middle distance as part of MINSK, Uladzislau Mikulski, Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson and Daniil Kasko also brought points to the team standings. The opponents went to the big break with a score of 36:29.
With a decent fight, our team performed in the third quarter, not allowing Runa to go into a big gap in the score. The rivals exchanged hits into each other's rings, demonstrating a bright basketball. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson and Grigori Motovilov designed the exact three point shots as part of MINSK. The score before the final quarter was 55:47.
Interchange
In the fourth quarter, the home team aggressively working both defensively and offensively, did not allow MINSK to increase the pace of the game and get closer to the first victory of the season. The final score of the meeting was 71:53 in favor of Runa.
The most productive:
MINSK: Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson – 19 + 5 REB+ 2 AST + 3 STL, Vadzim Stubeda – 10 + 8 REB + 1 AST, Uladzislau Mikulski – 10 + 3 REB + 5 AST + 2 STL.
Runa: Jeremiah Hill – 23 + 10 REB+ 4 AST + 1 STL, Juwan Morgan – 14 + 9 REB + 1 AST + 1 STL + 2 block, Alex Tayus – 11 + 9 REB + 1 AST + 1 block.
MINSK head coach Rostislav Vergun: “If in the first half only 4 players manage to score points, find some key to the opponent's defense and the opportunity to use their skills to realize their points - it's not enough. Yes, we fought, there are no questions to dedication once again. But the point of the game is to throw the ball into the basket, and you need to do it 1 time more than the opponent. Accordingly, the level of our skill today turned out to be much lower than the skill of the opponent.”
Minsk residents will hold the next match at home on November 7 against another newcomer of the League – Uralmash. We are waiting for all basketball fans at the Falcon Club Arena, the meeting starts at 19:00. Tickets can be purchased on the website and at points of sale kvitki.by .
