At the finish line of the Belarusian Championship

Tomorrow, May 6, “Tsmoki-Minsk” enter the fight in the main matches of the 2021/22 season of the championship of the Republic of Belarus. The Dragons will hold a series of final matches up to three wins with "Borisfen" Mogilev, and in the coming weeks the winner of the national championship title will be determined.

Our team, since 2009, has been the permanent owner of the main basketball title of Belarus. And for several years now, Mogilev "Knights" have been the main rival in the finals for Rostislav Vergun's wards.

"Borisfen" was established in 2010, its founding father was Vladimir Kopylov, who initially served as both director and head coach. It is noteworthy that in the 2012/13 season, the coaching staff of our main rival was headed by Rostislav Vergun, who in the 2013/14 season, in addition to coaching duties, also went on the court as a player.

In the next three seasons, the coaching staff of the team was headed by Alexander Gulyaev, and in 2017/18 Andrey Krivonos, who had previously been the head coach of "Tsmoki-Minsk" in the 2008/09-2012/13 seasons, joined the captain's bridge of "Borisfen".

In the piggy bank of achievements in the championship of the Republic of Belarus, "Borisfen" has the following awards: three-time bronze medalists (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17), since Andrey Krivonos took office, the team was able to win silver, and continued this tradition in subsequent seasons (2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21).

In the competitions of the 2021/22 season, "Borisfen" topped the standings of the first two stages of the regular season. In the first stage, the "Knights" won 8 victories in 9 matches, once failing to cope with "Grodno-93". In the second stage in its subgroup, the team was able to win 27 victories in 29 matches, again losing only twice to the Grodno team.
