Today, the first match of the semi-final series of the Belarusian championship among men's teams took place in the sports complex of our basketball club. "MINSK” won over Vitebsk “Rubon" with the score 102:78 (27:22, 28:18, 26:16, 21:22).
The 7:0 scoring run performed by Minsk residents set a fast pace of the game, to which the opponent from Vitebsk could not adapt. Aliaksei Trastsinetski and Uladzislau Blizniuk pleased the audience with four accurate “three-point” shots, and Uladzislau Mikulski turned out to be accurate twice from an average distance. On the first break, the teams left with a score of 27:22.
In the second quarter, Rostislav Vergun's wards gained a confident double-digit advantage in the score. This was facilitated by Vlad Blizniuk's repeated hits, including one “three-point”, as well as accurate throws performed by Daniil Kasko, Daquan Bracey, Kanstantsin Pasko and Jovan Sljivancanin. For the big break, our team left with “+15” on the scoreboard (55:40).
At a steady pace, our team continued to build up the advantage in the third quarter and made a breakthrough of 11 points. Vadzim Tratsiak and Jovan Sljivancanin scored accurate hits from behind the arc, while the opponent was mostly accompanied by misses and losses. Minsk residents left for the final break with a score of 81:56.
In the fourth quarter, our team continued the fight at a steady pace and crossed the line of 100 points on the scoreboard thanks to an accurate “three-point” Jovan Sljivancanin. The match ended with the victory of MINSK with a score of 102:78.
