The head coach will lead the men's team in the 2023/24 season, the contract is for a year.
For Rostislav Vergun, the upcoming season will be the fifth as the head coach of our men's team. Under his leadership, MINSK continues to confidently maintain leadership and a high bar in Belarusian basketball, as evidenced by the titles won by 15-time champions of Belarus and 14-time winners of the Belarusian Cup.
Comment by the chairman of the club Yuri SHAKOLA: “We continue to cooperate with Rostislav Vergun. I think our decision is obvious given that we understand the difficult conditions we had to face last season. But we also see the dynamics of the growth of sports skills of the Belarusian part of our team. This was proved in the matches in which our guys played for the national team of Belarus, and we see that we have very good and promising basketball players with whom we still need to work. As for further work: we are closely engaged in this and in the near future we plan to actively show those who will be with us next year. We need a new high-quality team in the VTB United League, and we are working in this direction.”
