On November 7, guests from Ekaterinburg – Uralmash arrived at the Falcon Club Arena for the first time for a VTB United League match. In today's match, Minsk residents lost to the team of Milos Pavicevic with a score 73:101 (20:29, 22:29, 11:23, 20:20).
Starting fives:
MINSK: Daniil Kasko, Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson, Vadzim Stubeda, Uladzislau Mikulski, Benjamin-Pavel Dodoo.

Game progress
The guests of the venue, at an unexpectedly fast pace for our team, managed to form a double-digit advantage in the score in the first minutes of the meeting, while Vadzim Stubeda made an accurate throw as part of MINSK. Rostislav Vergun took advantage of the timeout, and the conversation with the head coach clearly benefited our players: Jakob Cebasek got “+2” points for MINSK, and then Grigori Motovilov again reduced the difference in the score (6:12) in a quick breakaway. Both teams increased the pace of the game and repeatedly made effective attacks, but the leadership by the end of the first quarter was retained by the wards of Milos Pavicevic (20:29).
In the second quarter, Minsk residents were chased by offensive blunders that did not allow our team to seize the lead on the home court. Daniil Kasko and Grigori Motovilov tried to reduce the difference in the score, scored a number of hits, and Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson scored two bright “three-point” shots in the last minute. However, Uralmash had a double-digit advantage in the score on the scoreboard (42:58).
Interchange
Unfortunately, after a long break, Minsk residents again failed to cope with the pace of the opponent from Ekaterinburg. Vadzim Stubeda and Jakob Cebasek scored twice accurate shots as part of our team. While the Uralmash players repeatedly scored points from different distances, the opponent's ring stubbornly did not want to take the ball from the Minsk residents. The teams went to the final break with a score of 53:81. In the last ten minutes of the match, Jakob Cebasek pleased the audience with two accurate “three-pointers" in a row. Having exchanged hits into each other's rings in the fourth quarter, the rivals finished the match with a score of 101:73 in favor of Uralmash.
The most productive:
MINSK: Jacob Cebasek – 20 + 3 REB + 1 AST + 1 STL, Grigory Motovilov – 12 + 2 REB + 2 AST, Vadim Stubeda – 11 + 11 REB + 1 AST + 1 STL.
Uralmash: Garrett Nevels - 28 + 4 REB + 4 AST + 2 STL, Octavius Ellis – 21 + 11 REB + 3 AST + 3 block, Tyrell Nelson – 16 + 5 REB + 2 AST.
MINSK head coach Rostislav Vergun: “I can say one thing for sure – Minsk fans, basketball fans should have enjoyed today's match. The difference in the quality of performers becomes more noticeable with each game. We have been talking a lot lately about the game discipline, about the details that make up the game. We have to play well – this is an indicator of a player's level, when he is able to make the right decisions under pressure and perform high-quality attacks both defensively and offensively. Unfortunately, there were many moments today when we returned to the game, and after two unsuccessful attacks and defense immediately threw us back to a distance of 20 points. The result is natural. What we have is very little to compete at this level”.
The next match of Rostislav Vergun's wards will be held on November 12 in Moscow against the IBA. The meeting starts at 19:30.
