On International Women's Day, our men's team went to Krasnoyarsk for the VTB United League game against Enisey. Today, Rostislav Vergun's wards were forced to fight on the floor without two legionnaires: DaQuan Bracey and Ognjen Pantovic, who dropped out of the game mode due to minor injuries. Unfortunately, Minsk residents did not manage to take home the victory. Final score of the meeting — 75:55 (24:17, 16:15, 15:16, 20:7) in favor of the Enisey.
Starting five:
MINSK: Benjamin-Pavel Dodoo, Jovan Sljivancanin, Vadzim Stubeda, Uladzislau Mikulski, Uladzislau Blizniuk.
Enisey: Angelo Warner, Alexandr Gudumak, James Thompson, Yauheni Beliankou, Timofey Gerasimov.
Game scenario
Despite a breakthrough of 12 points at the start of the meeting from the home team, MINSK managed to get into the game after taking a timeout. The exact “three-point” was issued by Jovan Sljivancanin, followed by fouls from Enisey. Shots from the penalty line helped our team to reduce the gap in the score on the scoreboard, and two more hits from the middle distance from Vlad Blizniuk and Jovan Sljivancanin allowed us to even the score (12:12). After exchanging a number of hits into each other's rings, the rivals left for the first break with a score of 24:17.
In the second quarter, Rostislav Vergun's wards managed to demonstrate a more coordinated work in defense, due to which the opponent could not boast of more effective attacks than MINSK. Zach Smith managed to score 4 points in less than a minute, and Vadzim Tratsiak and Vadzim Stubeda scored accurate three-point shots in our team. The teams went to the big break with a score of 40:32.
In the third quarter, MINSK, despite a small rotation of players, showed a decent fight. The role of the leader was assumed by Vadzim Stubeda, who alone managed to get 8 points in the team standings, including 4 from the free throw line. And with an accurate “three-point” under the siren, the captain of MINSK reduced the double-digit gap in the score to 7 points (55:48).
Interchange
Another accurate “three-point” shot followed from Aliaksei Trastsinetski at the start of the final quarter, reducing the gap from Enisey to only 4 points. However, the obvious fatigue of our players affected the performance, and Drazen Anzulovic's wards managed to increase the advantage by the end of the meeting. The match ended with the victory of Enisey with a score of 75:55.

It's great that there was such a good atmosphere in the hall, I hope everyone enjoyed the game. Congratulations to Enisey - they deservedly won. As for us: I'm glad that there were guys who accepted such a good contact-physical game. We resisted for three quarters. This is a good indicator of who is ready to play at this level, or who plans to play. I wish Enisey good luck in playoff battle'.
