Game scenario
At the start of the meeting, the hosts of the site pleased their fans with a 7:0 scoring run, but Minsk residents were able to join the game: Uladzislau Blizniuk and DaQuan Bracey made effective shots from behind the arc, and Jovan Sljivancanin and Vadzim Stubeda turned out to be accurate from an average distance. On the first break, the opponents left with a score of 20:13.
In the second quarter, Minsk residents began to interact more closely in attacks, due to which they were able to score 21 points in 10 minutes of the game. Due to the arc, accurate shots were made by Jovan Sljivancanin and Ognjen Pantovic twice. Meanwhile, DaQuan Bracey made three accurate shots from the middle distance. There were also fouls in the quarter, which allowed both teams to score points from the free throw line in the team standings. The teams went to the big break with a difference in the score of 4 points – 38:34.
In the third quarter, offensive misses and losses again allowed Evgeniy Pashutin's team to increase the advantage in the score on the scoreboard. Uladzislau Blizniuk, Vadzim Stubeda, DaQuan Bracey and Ognjen Pantovic were able to bring important points to the team standings. However, this did not save the Permians from aggressive pressure, who were able to make almost twice as many effective attacks. The teams went to the final break with a score of 66:46.
Interchange
With an accurate hit in the pass at the start of the fourth quarter, Ognjen Pantovic scored a double-double in today's meeting (11 points and 11 rebounds). As soon as the Minsk residents tried to reduce the double-digit gap in the score, Evgeniy Pashutin's wards responded with effective throws. By the middle of the quarter, Uladzislau Blizniuk managed to make two “three-point” shots, followed by a productive throw from behind the arc, and Jovan Sljivancanin, thanks to which Minsk residents demonstrated a 50 percent implementation of “three-point” throws. Unfortunately, the victory in today's match remained with the owners of the site. The final score is 82:67.
MINSK head coach Rostislav Vergun: ”It seems that the outcome of today's match was predetermined by two scoring run performed by the PARMA. If after the first scoring run, which occurred at the beginning of the match, we were able to return to the game. Then in the third quarter, the second one finally made a start, after which it was difficult to return to the game. There was definitely not enough effective play in the person of Zach Smith. We can't afford for one of the leaders to fall out so much, his points were definitely not enough for us today. There is space for development. I want to believe that the guys will continue to analyze and draw conclusions. We will prepare for the next game, which is coming soon”.
