We played with Enisey

Today, Rostislav Vergun's wards met at the Falcon Club Arena Enisey from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In the home match, Minsk lost to the team of Jovica Arcic with a score 74:89 (13:20, 16:28, 20:21, 25:20).

Starting five:

MINSK: Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson, Vadzim Stubeda, Uladzislau Mikulski, Jacob Cebasek, Dmitri Kuratnik.

Enisey: Jeremiah Martin, Michael Hopkins, Xavier Raten-Mays, Sergey Balashov, Yauheni Beliankou.

Game scenario

In the first minutes of the match, Minsk residents demonstrated a confident struggle, initially marking themselves as the leaders of the site thanks to accurate shots from Jakob Cebasek, Aleksandar Zecevic and Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson. However, by the end of the first quarter, a number of offensive mistakes on the part of Minsk residents led to the advantage of Enisey in the score on the scoreboard (13:20).

In more aggressive attacks, the Enisey squad began to increase the pace of the game in the second quarter and was able to gain a double-digit advantage in the score. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson took the lead in our team, who scored 4 accurate hits, including from long range. The opponents went to the big break with a score of 29:48.

In the third quarter, Minsk residents began to interact more harmoniously on offense and reduce the gap in the score: Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson in tandem with Jakob Cebasek made a breakthrough of 8 points. However, a retaliatory jerk from the Russians forced Rostislav Vergun to take another timeout. Thanks to numerous fouls from Enisey, our players managed to score several important points from the penalty line, but unfortunately they could not significantly reduce the difference in the score by the final quarter (49:69).

Interchange

At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Minsk residents again made several jerks and exchanged accurate “three-point” shots with the wards of Jovica Arcic. Unfortunately, by the end of the meeting, our team made a number of offensive blunders and mistakes, and at the end of the match, the Krasnoyarsk team took the victory with them. The final score is 74:89.

The most productive:

MINSK: Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson – 28 + 6 REB + 4 AST + 1 STL, Jacob Cebasek – 11 + 4 REB, Dmitry Kuratnik – 10 + 7 REB + 1 STL.

Enisey: Xavier Raten-Mays – 29 + 4 REB + 5 AST + 1 STL, Beau Beech – 17 + 10 REB + 3 AST + 1 block, Yuaheni Beliankou – 13 + 3 REB + 1 AST + 1 block.

MINSK head coach Rostislav Vergun: ”We definitely did not succeed in the game today. Perhaps there are explanations to be found. Emotionally, we were empty, not like ourselves. There was no one who would let us into the game. There were glimpses, but the opponent showed very well why they are one of the teams that is fighting to get into the top six. The 18 rebounds we missed are depressing. We lost a lot of physical struggle. I want to see that someone will go out and turn the game around, and not so that for 40 minutes all 12 people are in the same state, which is not enough to fight. Thanks to the fans for their support. Definitely, what they are doing, with the result that we have, is worth a lot. I want to please them as much as possible with a beautiful game. We hope that we will improve soon.”

Next, Minsk residents will have an away series of matches. On December 16, at 15:00, Rostislav Vergun's wards will play in Samara against the team of the same name. Follow the news on our website.
