Starting five:
MINSK: Daniil Kasko, Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson, Grigorii Motovilov, Vadzim Stubeda, Jacob Cebasek.
Enisey: Jeremiah Martin, Michael Hopkins, Xavier Rathen-Mayes, Sergey Balashov, Yauheni Beliankou.
Game scenario
In the first quarter, Minsk residents tried to find the right pace, while the owners of the site gradually increased the advantage in the score. Vadzim Stubeda, Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson and Daniil Kasko scored shots from the middle distance, and Kanstantsin Pasko scored an accurate three-pointer in the opening minutes. Nevertheless, Enisey managed to get a double-digit advantage in the score by the end of the first ten minutes of the meeting (24:13).
Already in the second quarter our team managed to get together: cooperating harmoniously in the attack, Minsk residents managed to reduce the difference in the score. Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson made accurate shots from the middle distance three times, Uladzislau Mikulski, Vadzim Stubeda and Daniil Kasko made a number of shots, and Jacob Cebasek pleased with the “three-point” shot. With a difference in the score of only 5 points, the teams went to the big break (36:31).
Minsk residents managed to do the work on mistakes during the big break and came out on the floor clearly determined to demonstrate high-quality basketball. When shooting from behind the arc, Jarred and Ben again began to reduce the difference in the score, while Krasnoyarsk's opponent became nervous and made a number of misses. Another accurate three-pointer by Benjamin–Pavel Dodoo allowed MINSK to even the score on the scoreboard for the first time in the game - 51:51, but the opponent's hit spoiled the beautiful figure on the scoreboard before the final quarter (53:51).
Interchange
Keeping all the chances of victory, Rostislav Vergun's wards continued the duel. In the fourth quarter, our team was twice close to the opportunity to recoup and get the first victory of the season, but offensive misses and losses allowed Enisey to maintain the lead. The match ended with a score of 73:64 in favor of the Krasnoyarsk team.

MINSK head coach Rostislav Vergun: ”I congratulate the opponent on the victory. I understand how important it is to have a positive momentum, especially in the first home game. Regarding the game: we allowed too many second chance points. Our big problem is the complete lack of a game inside. 16 losses also knocked us out. At key moments, when we were pulling up, we wanted a better attack. There was not enough order and quality in the end to catch on to the game.”
On October 16, our team will play against Kazan UNICS at the Minsk Arena. The game starts at 18:30. We are waiting for everyone to attend basketball! Tickets are available on the website and at points of sale kvitki.by .
