Today, the second match for our team took place in the sports complex of BC MINSK as part of pre-season training. The opponent in today's meeting was the Grodno-93 team. The game ended with a second consecutive victory for our “Minsk residents” with an account 87:81 (27:21, 22:22, 24:21, 14:17).
In the first quarter, the teams were going at a fairly even pace – the Grodno opponent did not let the Minsk residents get away by more than 5 points. The situation was changed by Vlad Blizniuk, who left the team an advantage of 7 points (19:12) from the penalty line with accurate throws. The first quarter ended with a score of 27:21.
In the second quarter, the opponents fought equally, both teams scored 22 points each and made almost the same number of rebounds. At the same time, MINSK did not plan to give up the lead, and the teams left for the big break with a score of 49:43.
In the third quarter, the players of both teams turned on the pressure, but our guys made more accurate shots. So, “treshka” Andrei Stabrouski brought the team +15 on the scoreboard (65:50), and in the last seconds of the quarter, another three-point hit by Vlad Blizniuk kept our team's confident advantage.
In the final quarter, the guests of the site briefly seized the initiative in accurate hits and intensified work on rebounds under their shield, meanwhile our guys did not slow down and finished the match with a victory with a score of 87:81.
